Meety allows you to either automatically approve incoming bookings or require manual approval before confirming them.

Here’s a closer look at how Booking approval works:
1. How to set up booking approval?
To set up Booking approval feature:
- Go to Service tab > click Edit service > Advanced > Booking approval section > turn on Enable new booking approval
- If turned on: New bookings are marked as Pending until you manually Approve or Reject them. You will also receive an email to remind you to approve the bookings
- If turned off: New bookings are automatically approved and confirmed instantly, with no manual review needed
Note:
- The booking slot will remain available until the status is updated
- Customers will still need to pay for the pending bookings. If the booking is rejected, merchants will need to handle refunds manually or use the Auto-refund feature (available in Business plan)
2. Managing booking approval status
To manage Booking approval status:
- Go to Booking tab > Status column
- For Pending bookings, you can Approve or Reject each one by clicking on the status and change it
- Customers will receive a notification once their booking is approved or rejected
After a booking is approved (either automatically or manually), you can update the status as:
- No Show: If the customer did not show up
- Arrived: Once the customer arrives for the booking
- Completed: When the booking is completed
Note:
- Once a booking status is set to Arrived, it cannot be reverted to No show, Approved, Rejected, Pending
- Once a booking status is set to Completed, it cannot be reverted to Arrived
3. Managing Payment Statuses
You can also mark each booking as Paid, Unpaid, Partially Paid or Pending separately from the main status
